- SIPPOLA Warner Sippola, age 62, of Gahanna, died suddenly Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Grant Medical Center. Former Assistant Finance Director, Ohio Dept of Education. Also former Coach and teacher at Buckeye Valley H.S. and Cardington H.S. Dean of Students at Fostoria H.S. and former principal at Patrick Henry H.S. Member of Peace Lutheran Church. Graduate of Capital University where he played football and ran track. Received his Masters degree from Xavier U. and Specialist degree from B.G.S.U. Survived by wife of 42 years, Joan Sippola; mother, Laina Sippola; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Angie Sippola of Villa Rica GA, Corey and Melissa Sippola of Murfreesboro TN, Cody Sippola of Westerville; grandchildren, Jarrett, Tucker, Katja, Chase and Sophia; Bowling Green relatives include his sisters, Janice (Wendell) Strode and Elaine Sippola; nieces, Alicia Strode and Tara Howard. Also beloved dogs, Sampson, Chance and Fezzando. Most important to him was to be recognized as a husband, father and grandfather. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Road, with Pastor Kai Nilsen, officiating. Private family interment.
