  Notes	Arlene “Boots” (McCourt) Miller, 85, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Webster Springs, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Charlotte. Born September 5, 1934 in Webster Springs, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Surilda (Skeens) McCourt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verl Miller; brothers and sisters, Vella Hall, Verdon McCourt, Irene Scritchfield, Midge Hamrick, Judy Payne, Ted McCourt, and Shelby McElroy. She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and site-seeing. She loved flowers. Boots was a member at Union Valley Union Mission Church. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Verl Leroy Miller; brother, Jennings McCourt; sister, Ann Kamine; grandchildren, Lanie Starratt and Logan Starratt; special niece and nephew, Sheri Starratt and Todd McElroy; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends to mourn her passing. Services to celebrate Boots’ life will be held 12 pm, Friday, January 3, 2020 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Burial will follow at Harrison Cochran Cemetery, Webster Springs. Friends may join the family for visitation 6-9PM Thursday, at the funeral home.
