  Notes	CARPENTER Howard G. Howard G. Carpenter, 85, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, and formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Hope Hospice House. He was born in Webster, West Virginia on January 15, 1927, to Harris and Sarah (Holcomb) Carpenter. In 1948, he married Cora Hymore. Howard was employed with Conrail as an engineer for 39 years, retiring in 1987. Howard enjoyed fishing and spending time in Florida. He is survived by his son, Howard K. Carpenter; granddaughter, Rebecca Zalar; great-grandchildren, Alanis, Morgan, and Gabriella; brother, Edward (Jeanette) Carpenter; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cora; brothers, Enos and George, and sister, Ireta Brake. Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert and Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in the funeral home.
