She was born Dec. 3, 1937 at Centralia, the daughter of the late Elliott V and Dorothy Rolinda Brooks Ware. Mildred was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and sitting on her porch working with her flowers. Surviving are her children, Larry (Patsy) Ware of Lewisburg, Sandra (Sam) Barger of Cowen, Mark (Debbie) Gum of High Point, NC, Steve Ware of Cowen, Sharon Ray of Cowen, Leonard (Gina) Ware of Smithers, Richard Ware of Roanoke, VA and David Ware of Cowen; grandchildren, Wade, Darcie, Jill, Kimberly, Sarah, Matthew, Triston, Kyle, Wes, Jared and Garrett; great-grandchildren, Riley and Wyatt. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 30 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen.
