She was born November 1, 1946 to Elijah Shelton and Emily (Hosey) McCourt at Webster Springs, WV and spent her life in Webster County. She is survived by sons Timmy McCourt with companion Carla and Floyd with wife Crystal McCourt of Webster Springs; brothers Clifford McCourt of Upper Glade, WV, Paul, Arden and Thurman McCourt of Webster Springs; sisters Donna Stephson and Barbara Knox of Webster Springs, Mary Simmons of Hacker Valley,WV and Georgie Stout of Summersville, WV; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; daughters Lisa and Kimberly McCourt; brothers Arnold McCourt and Robert L. Hosey and three sisters. Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, June 5 from 11 AM to 2 PM in the chapel of Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Reverend Jim Dyer officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison Cochran Cemetery on Grassy Creek, Webster Springs, WV.
