St. Ann's Catholic Church, Webster Springs. B.P.O.E., Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers. He was a 17-year resident of Cowen and a native of Prestonia. Surviving: wife, Charlotte R. Litzinger Thayer; sons, David B. of Knoxville, Tenn., Richard B. of Cowen; daughters, Mary Sue Thayer, Barbara Greene and Karen Crites, all of Cowen; brothers, Everett of Naples, Fla., James of Painesville, Ohio; half sisters, Nadine Seftick and Ella Barker, both of Clarksburg, Ruth Woodford of Stow, Ohio; six granddaughters. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Adams Funeral Home, Cowen, with the Rev. Edwin C. Daschbach officiating. Burial will be in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p m. today at the funeral home.
