  Notes	SIDNEY — Robert C. "Pops" Heber, 78, of Sidney, passed away, Aug. 31, 2017, at 2:45 p.m., in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Born April 26, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Charles and Mildred (Delmatter) Heber. He married Linda L. Bodey, Oct. 8, 1961, and she survives. Together they raised four children, three of whom survive: Charles (Karen) Heber, of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael (Darlene) Heber, of Piqua, and Diana (Kevin Lambert) Heber, of Piqua. He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren, Melody (Ron) Mulkey, Chase (Alexa Liffick) Heber, Mitchell (Jessica) Baker, Weston (Katie) Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Jake and Jessup Mulkey and Bentley Heber. In addition to his parents, a son, Patrick Heber, and a sister, Joan McKinnion, preceded him in death. Robert was a 1958 graduate of Carrick High School in Pittsburgh. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1962. He was formerly employed by Piqua Engineering. Robert attended the Upper Valley Community Church. He enjoyed collecting Lionel trains and traveling. Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m., in the Fletcher Cemetery with the Rev. Steven Smitley presiding. The V.E.T.S. of Piqua will provide military honors.
