    • Sheryl A. "Sherry" (Mahan) Lee, 69, of Columbus, Ohio (originally of St. Paris), passed away after a brief illness at 3:37 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, in Huber Heights, Ohio surrounded by loved ones.
      Born on December 3, 1945, in Piqua, she was a daughter of the late Roger and Marcella (Massie) Mahan. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Walter and Elva (Slagle) Massie and Harley and Ola (Bodey) Mahan.
      After graduating from Graham High School in 1963 Sherry attended the Stenotype Institute of Jacksonville, FL and went on to obtain her Registered Professional Reporter Designation. Upon returning to Ohio, Sherry settled in to the German Village community of Columbus, Ohio, operated her own business as a court reporter for numerous lawyers and law firms for more than 30 years before retiring and going to work for the Columbus Museum of Art for 11 years. Sherry enjoyed spending time with co-workers, colleagues, friends and family. She enjoyed exercising and walking. She was known for her love of art, sense of style, and her strong spirit and independence. She most enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her Aunt Mary, and was very grateful for all of her great nieces and nephews who were able to come visit and share stories with her. Special thanks to the Massie family, friends and care givers for their love and support to Sherry. She expressed her appreciation many times. Private Services will be held at Rosedale Cemetery, Conover, Ohio. Contributions in Sherry's memory may be sent to The Columbus Museum of Art, 480 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215. Condolences may be sent to the Mahan family, 12873 Mahan Rd., St. Paris, Ohio 43072.
