  Notes	STONER -- Connie (Garnet) P. Stoner, 84, of Rio Rancho, passed away May 9, 2008. Born in West Virginia and venturing west from Ohio to California in 1957, she worked for AT&T, in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. She retired in 1986 after almost 30 years of service as a telecommunications operator. She and Ward retired to Rio Rancho in 1988 and continued to enjoy traveling, fishing, golf, and bowling. Always game and up for anything well into her 70's, she could be found anywhere from sailing above in a hot air balloon, to paddling a canoe on Lake Tahoe, and dragging huge rocks home from various trips and adventures. She enjoyed cooking,and gardening and loved going to church, singing hymns and reading her Bible. Funny, feisty, loyal and loving, her passion was people and her concern and care for even those she'd just met was evidenced when speaking with her. She gave tirelessly of herself to anyone who seemed to need help and touched the lives of all who knew her. Determined and stubborn, strong of spirit, body and soul, she courageously fought several serious bouts and forms of cancer but she could not sustain her fight against Alzheimer's. She is survived by her daughter, Ginny Burdick-Diaz and her husband, Phil; Brothers, Homer Ellison and wife, Maxine, Burnell Ellison and wife, Linda and Arthur Ellison and wife, Betty Gene; Sisters, Mary Sue Howes and Betty Lue Carroll, all of Garrettsville, Ohio; Brothers-in-laws, James Stoner of Clearlake Florida and Robert Stoner of Palm Harbor, Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Connie was preceded by her husband, Ward (Elvin) Stoner in 2002, whom she loved dearly and missed tremendously. A memorial service to celebrate her life is pending and memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, 9500 Montgomery NE, Suite 209, Abq NM, 87111.
