She was born March 20, 1933 in Burnsville, West Virginia to Grover Cleveland and Ethel Brown. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick, was an avid floral and vegetable gardener. She also enjoyed canning and bird watching. Mrs. Thayer is survived by her children Karen (James) Gillespie, Harry "Bernie" (Theresa) Thayer, Jeffrey (Brenda) Thayer, and Nancy (Patrick) Rose; brother Wilfred "Buck" (Ruth) Brown; sisters Mary Katherine (John) Gully, Marie Lynch, and Francis (James) Kallas; grandchildren Thomas (Carolyn) Butler, Tina (Fred) Kullman, Brandon Thayer, Stephanie Thayer, Stacey Thayer, Ryan Thayer, Jacob Thayer, and Kara Rose (Fianc?e' Joshua Skindell, Caleb Rose, Kacey Rose, and Cory Rose; and great-grandchildren Thomas Butler III, Ashley Kullman, William Kullman, Lydia Kullman, and Michael Kullman. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Thayer; brothers Robert, Elmer, John, Waitman (Carrie), Jimmy, and Case Brown; sisters Rena and Ondine; brother-in-law Harry Lynch; and her parents. Friends may call on Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
