  Notes	Sylvania “Toots” Cogar, age 82, of French Creek, WV, died Monday, February 3, 2014. She was born February 2, 1932, in Webster County, a daughter of the late Hantsford and Nora Pugh Cogar. She was united in marriage on December 29, 1951, to Ancil E. Cogar, who preceded her in death on December 26, 2006. She is survived by four daughters: Susan Cogar and companion Keith Mace of Valley Head, WV, Sallie Mathess and husband Joe of Cox’s Mill, WV, Linda Helmick and husband Mike of Morgantown, WV Tracy McVay and husband Byron McVay of Buckhannon, WV; two sons; Ancil Junior Cogar and wife Geneva of French Creek and Marty Cogar and wife Beverly of Blackstone, VA; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; four brothers, Arden, Garcia, John and Lee Cogar all of Webster Springs, WV and one sister, Shirley Cogar of Webster Springs. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son Darren, one daughter Vera, one brother Jack Cogar and one half brother, Ralph Pugh. Mrs. Cogar enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning the vegetables from her garden. Friends will be received at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Chapel with Rev. Curt Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Cogar Cemetery in Webster County.
