  Notes	Peggy Joann Pennington Johnson, 83, of Billings, formerly of York, Pa., died July 4, 2007. She was born March 19, 1924, on a farm in Industry, Ill., to J. Wilson and L. Christene Runkle Pennington. Her father soon gave up farming, went back to college and became Auditor for Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. Peggy attended Galesburg schools and graduated as valedictorian of her class at Galesburg High School. She enrolled at Knox College, where she met her future husband, Arthur R. Johnson, and they were married when he came back from Air Force duty during WWII. He returned to college and, after graduation, was hired by Caterpillar Tractor Company, where he spent his entire career. During that time, he was employed in Peoria and East Peoria, Ill.; York; Gosselies, Belgium; and Piracicaba, Brazil. The couple was blessed with three children, J. Scott Johnson, of Danbury, Conn.; Laurie (John) Beers of Loganville, Pa.; and Kristin (Keith) Winterson of Perranarworthal, Truro, United Kingdom. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Zachary and Zane Johnson, Alexandra (Peter) Vanderlyke, Erika and Kristin Beers, and Jeremy WInterson; a great-grandson, Benjamin Vanderlyke; three brothers, Robert (Delores) Pennington of St. Charles, Ill., John (Rita Wong) Pennington of San Francisco and Sterling (Terry) Pennington of La Mirada, Calif.; nieces, nephews, cousins; and her fiancé, Vince Conrad. A memorial service will be held at Mission Ridge in Billings on Sunday, July 8, at 3 p.m., and burial will be in her husband's family gravesite in Batavia, Ill.
