"Jean" Cartee, 81, of Trinity will be Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Cottle officiating. Burial will be in East Limestone Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Cartee, who died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her residence, was born November 8, 1929, in West Virginia to Walter and Clara Dodrill. She retired from Amoco after 26 years and worked for Dr. Harney for 15 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Cartee was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Dodrill and Walter Jr. Dodrill; and one sister, Pauline Dodrill.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Oneal Cartee; four sons, Kent Glasscock, Kurt Glasscock, T. G. Glasscock and Bruce Cartee; four daughters, Joyce Rehms, Cherie Glasscock, Donna Kelley and Jeannie Liles; brother, Herbert Dodrill; four sisters, Mary Moore, Corinne Nichols, Ruth Feagons and Maxine Stutler; granddaughter, MacKenzie Glasscock; stepgranddaughter, Morgan Levassuer; four grandsons, Casey Kelly, Jason Kelley, Bradley Liles and Justin Liles; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bob Moore, Jerry Feagons, Bruce Cartee, Wayne Liles, Casey Kelley and T. G. Glasscock.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
