  Notes	PIQUA -- Mary Catherine Boyd, 75, of Piqua and formerly of St. Paris, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born Dec. 20, 1930, in Miami County, the daughter of the late Daniel and Etta Ellen "Alberta" (Hesselgesser) Beck. She married Albert Boyd on Jan. 29, 1949, and he preceded her in death May 14, 2005. She is survived by her six children, Cynthia A. Boyd, Robert N. and Evelyn Boyd, Sheila Boyd and Anita and Carl Lundford, all of Piqua, Rhoda J. and Ronald J. Boyd of Christiansburg and Shirley and Harold Perry of Troy; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by three brothers, James and Richard (Carlinda) Beck, both of Springfield and Ronald and Shelley Beck of Troy; six sisters, Thelma Schroth of Troy, Viola Harvey of New Carlisle, Barbara Stapleton of St. Paris, Ellen and Steve Cardoza of Enon, Linda Parthemore of Sidney and Joan Maddy of St. Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Roger; and brothers-in law, Melvin Harvey, Milfred Maddy and Raymond Schroth. Mary was a 1948 graduate of North Hampton High School and a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses of New Carlisle. She was a homemaker who loved reading her Bible and she was fond of red barns. The family of Mary Boyd would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Upper Valley Medical Center for their kindness.
