  Notes	Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie Parrott Merritt, 40 years of age, were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Campbellsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Clifton, Newton, Ohio, in charge. Burial was in Brookside. Mrs. Merritt died at the home of her father, Jim Parrott, near Arista. She was married to Clarence Merritt in 1930 who survives her and a daughter, Jewell Frances. She united with the Campbellsville Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Newtown, Ohio. Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Merritt is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Parrott and brother, Lloyd Parrott, Campbellsville. The pallbearers were: W. T. Strong, Otis Riedel, Charlie Carr, Cecil Clifton, Ira Wise and Paul Holt. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, August 12, 1943
