- RILEY, Robert T. Jr., 81, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, October 24, 1997, in a Roanoke hospital. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the DAV and VFW. Mr. Riley was retired from the restaurant business. His contribution to area youth along with his brother, Sam, was being active in city basketball affairs, coaching and sponsoring Riley's Aces and Duces teams in the Roanoke basketball leagues. Surviving are his wife, Betty Barger Riley; two daughters, Rosemary Anna Riley of Roanoke and Linda Jones and her husband, Robert of Philadelphia, Pa.; two grandchildren, Christopher Mitchell Jones and Anneke Carmen Jones; his triplet brother, Rosley Riley and his wife, Alma of Roanoke; a brother, Hugh Riley of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Isabel Briggs of Roanoke, and three nephews, Dr. A. L. (''Chip"") Briggs, Robert Adams and Jon Riley. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, October 27, 1997, in Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. John Furman and the Rev. Jim Edwards will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church for the missions program. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel.
