  Notes	Elsie E. Schlotterback, 78, of Garrett, Ind., died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Garrett. She worked at the Creek Chub Bait Company and also co-owned Schlotterback's Grocery. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garrett, and a former member of the Garrett Garden Club. She was born April 27, 1931, in Marysville, to the late Walter and Laura Rausch Kleiber. She married Earl M. Schlotterback on Dec. 8, 1950, in Garrett. He died Aug. 3, 2002. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah K. Schlotterback. She is survived by two sons, Edward Schlotterback and Eugene (Loma) Schlotterback of Garrett; a brother, Ralph (Grace Ann) Kleiber of Raymond; sisters, Bemette (Loren) Nicol and Dorothy (Ray) McCarty of Marysville; an uncle, Alfred Blumenschein of Marysville; her aunts. Bertha and Frances Kleiber of Marysville; granddaughters, Kim Miceli of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Bethany (Mark) Heileman and Emily Schlotterback of Kendall ville; a grandson, Brett Schlotterback of Kendallville.; great-grandchildren, Esa Wnetrzak of Fort Wayne, and Starr Grubb, Mason Fulk, Melissa Heileman, Christian Heileman and Brenden Heileman, all of Kendallville.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett, and one hour prior to the Thursday 11 a.m. funeral service at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garrett.
