- Bernie Ranney, age 85, of Worthington, OH passed away Monday, January 10, 2022. The son of Homer Ranney & Leota (Sines) Ranney, he was born on June 16, 1936 in Columbus, OH. On July 4, 1959 he married Pat (Higbee) Ranney at the United Methodist Church in Urbana, OH and together they shared a loving 62 years.
Surviving are his wife, Pat Ranney; Son, Mark (Sue) Ranney; daughters, Carol (Lee) Hopkins and Rebecca (Dustin) Rowland; four grandchildren, Brandon, Amber, Christina and Collin; five great-grandchildren, Autumn, Olivia, Gabe, Xavier and Cyprus; as well as his nephew, Rusty; and nieces, Karen and Rachael.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, Homer & Leota Ranney; and his brother, Michael Ranney.
He got his passion for camping while working for Family Camping many years ago. Bernie retired from Krieger Ford after many years and many good friends made.
He was a lifetime member and past President of the Men's Bowling Assoc., longtime member of the Moose Lodge and a proud member of the NRA. Bernie proudly served in the U.S. Army and Naval Reserve.
Fishing, Hunting, Golfing, Bowling, Camping and Traveling were his favorite things to do besides spoiling his kids, grandkids and his favorite dog, Missy. Bernie’s proudest achievement was raising good kids. He always had a comment or joke for everything and everyone.
Bernie’s wife and children would like to thank all of the family and friends for their support.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 5464 N. High St. Columbus, OH where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
