  Notes	Richard Eugene Wells, 83 of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Pittsburgh V.A. Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1938 in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Roy Lawrence Wells and Thelma Clara (Stevens) Wells. He is survived by his two daughters, Lesa Gorman and her husband David of Rivesville and Vanessa Sue Wells; three sons, Richard and Paula Wells of Baxter, Rodney and Marsha Wells of Rivesville, and Roy Edmund Wells, of Fairmont; eight grandchildren, Amy Swiger, Rebecca Schaff, Richard Eugene Wells III, Rodney Berg, Eli Wells, Emma Wells, Roy Wells, and Falisha Wells; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Wells and his wife Donna of Fairmont; and the mother of his children, Julia Ann Wells. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by five brothers, Roy, Bill, Tom, Jerry, and David Wells and his companion of 25 years, Phyllis Moats. Richard served on the USS Randolph in the U.S. Navy and was a retired employee from Frontier Kemper Inc. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors with family and friends. Richard was always productive around his home. The family will receive friends at Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second & Jasper Streets, on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 1 p.m. A committal service will follow at McCurdysville Cemetery in McCurdysville Community.
