  Notes	Charles Robert Nickelsen Aug. 3, 1927 — Aug. 10, 2007 EYOTA, Minn. — Charles Robert Nickelsen, 80, of Eyota died Friday Aug. 10, 2007, at his home. He was born Aug. 3, 1927, in Beaver to Ernest and Mary (Waby) Nickelsen. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947, stationed in Germany. He married LaVerne Brobst on Nov. 21, 1949, in Eyota and has lived there since. LaVerne died March 9, 2005. He worked as a milk hauler for Eyota Creamery, drove school bus for the Eyota School and as a mechanic for Lovejoy service station in Eyota and Schultz Implement of Plainview. Charles belonged to Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota and to the Eyota American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, garage sales, playing cards and bingo. Survivors include six children, Roger (Janet) Nickelsen of Stewartville, Cheryl Nickelsen of Rochester, Cindy (Duane) Kahn of Minneiska, Ronald (friend Bonnie) of Valley City, N.D., Pamela (Tim) Gordon of Eyota and Tamara (Paul) Ahlers of Lake City; 18 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; four brothers, Kenneth “Wally” (Esther) Nickelsen of Lake City, Clarence (Phyllis) Nickelsen of Yuma, Ariz., James (Barb) Nickelsen of Homer, N.Y., and LaVern (Peggy) Nickelsen of Athens, Athens-Clarke, Georgia, USA .; three sisters, Marjorie (Eugene) Lamey of Kellogg, Barbara Jean (Ralph) Theuner of Kellogg and Sharon Kay (Allyn) Wachholz of Chatfield. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son Robert, a great-grandson and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota, with the Rev. Mark Woodward officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Eyota. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
