- Thelma McCuller Snedeker Life Story
Thelma McCuller Snedeker, 87 of Longview, Texas, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, January 6, 2025. She was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on January 26, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Haskell Mahan and Willa Josephine Nash Mahan. She attended school in Pine Tree and later attended Kilgore College.
Thelma was of the Baptist faith and attended church routinely. She started working at an early age in a soda shop in downtown Longview in 1951. Then she worked in the meat department in various grocery stores throughout East Texas for many years. She then went on to work as a caregiver in the East Texas area for over 30 years. She was always in for a good game of cards or dominoes with friends, but her favorite passion was dancing. She also enjoyed fishing and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Velma Mahan Cooper, husband Robert McCuller Sr. father of her children, husband Walter Snedeker, son's Robert Lee (Bo) Jr and Randy McCuller.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Robin McCuller of Big Sandy, Rena Fields of Big Sandy and Rhonda Glezen and son in law Scott of Longview. Her son's Roger Sr. of Hallsville and Richard McCuller of Tyler. Her grandchildren Matthew Comer, Courtney and Koda Fields, Miranda McCuller, Monica McCuller, Tyler and Logan Glezen, Roger Jr and Reagan McCuller, many great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and sister Margie Radford of Pawhuska, OK.
Friends and family will gather for a a time of visitation on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at in the Garden Court of the funeral home. A Life Celebration funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cammack Family Chapel and it will be officiated by her nephew, Michael D. Hart who held a special place in her heart.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Longview Hills.
