  Notes	Verna Cline, 90, of Vinton, OH and formerly McArthur, OH passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009. The daughter of the late Willis and Elvra Cobb Blankenship, she was born November 16, 1918, at Boggs, WV. Verna was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Jimmie Coombs of the Philippines, Jerry Coombs of Tennessee, Albert (Shirley) Smith of Vinton, OH, James Smith of Byer, OH and Carl (Maxine) Smith of Ray, OH; daughters, Regena Smith of Oak Hill, OH, Judy Coleman of Hamden, OH; thirty grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Darrel (Sandra) Blankenship; sisters Dolly Stewart and Ruby Babb; sisters-in-law Eileen and Jean Blankenship; brother-in-law, Victor Davis and daughters-in-law, Rosie Coombs and Diane Smith. Verna was preceded in death by her husband Ed Cline in 1990; sons, Lerrie Coombs and John Smith; stepson, Jimmy Smith; daughter Irene Armentrout; and stepdaughter Mildred Flint; brothers, Alden, Eldon and Walter Blankenship; and sisters, Masil Davis and Elma Cutlip also preceded her in death. Friends called Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home of Wellston, OH. Additional hours of visitation took place Wednesday from noon to 2 pm at the Green-Robertson Funeral Home in Sutton, WV. Services, officiated by Reverend Herman Stewart, were conducted at the conclusion of calling hours and burial followed in the Braxton County Cemetery.
