- Jerry Dean Nunley
Jerry Dean Nunley passed and went to be with the Lord for eternal life on August 28, 2007.
He will be remembered in so many ways: for a stern hand, for making people laugh, watching all of his sports and his fight with cancer. Most of all, he will be remembered as a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and as an inspiration to so many. Strong-willed and a fighter, he fought 'til the end. Passionate about his family, especially his grandson, he will always be remembered in our hearts.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Nunley; his daughter, Virgie "Sissy" George, and his only grandson, Kristian "Bubba"; his sons, Billy George and Charles; his brothers and sisters, Bobby Young, Pearl and M.D. Walker of Charleston, Ralph and Dee Nunley of Pinch, and Jimmy and Edith Nunley of Michigan; his nieces, nephews and extended family, Pat and Steve Ray and children, Christina and Tim, Monsie and Patrick Bailey and children, Alma, Nancy, Veronica, Natasha, Raquel, Claudia and Patty, Dodie Bernie and children, Terry and Karen; and his best friend of all time, Grover Keener of Charleston.
Service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 31, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, with his nephew, Pastor David Smith, officiating.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Online condolences may also be made at www.bartlettchapmanfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Ruth Nunley, 987 Old Pointe Road, St. Albans, WV 25177.
