  Notes	BABETTE RUNKLE, age 74, of Piqua, OH, died at 4:38 PM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, Troy, OH. She was born in Dayton, OH on September 1, 1947 to the late James O. and Barbara E. (Millard) Byrd. On July 24, 1966 in Clayton, OH, she married Jimmy Runkle and he survives. Babette is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Lynne and Dennis Adams, Union, KY; three sons: Christopher Runkle, West Union, OH, James Runkle, Covington, OH and Thomas Runkle, Piqua, OH; two sisters: Claudia Couch, Eaton, OH and Nancy Ersted, Eaton, OH; one brother: Richard L. "Les" Byrd, Eaton, OH; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Babette graduated from Northmont High School in 1966. She was a member of the Piqua Church of the Nazarene where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and a videographer for the Sound Team at the church. She loved to birdwatch and crochet. Babette was a loving mother and homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua, OH with Pastor Lincoln Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 PM to 1:00PM at the funeral home.
