- September Daye Snow, 53, of North Platte, passed away Nov. 10, 2015. September was the 3rd of 6 girls, born to Eldon Lawerence “Larry” & Janet “Jan” Webb on September 24th 1962, in Wichita Falls, TX.
September’s father was in the Air Force, which took her family all over the world during her childhood. After he retired from the Air Force, they chose Aurora, Colorado to call home.
At the age of 19, September gave birth to her first child, a girl, Crystal, on August 21st 1981. Followed by Dawn on February 13th 1983 and Craig on April 3rd 1985. At 24, September met the man of her dreams, Tracy Snow, and gave birth to their son Kyle on May 19th 1987 which completed her family. September and Tracy wed on March 10th 1995.
In 2000, September and Tracy moved the family to North Platte, Nebraska, where they lived happily together until Tracy death October 24th 2014.
September loved life. She loved being a mom & a wife, a grandma, a sister, an aunt, a daughter & a friend. She showed us all, what unconditional love is. She had that smile that reached her eyes. She was very giving and kind to everyone she came across. She would give her last dollar to someone on the street just so they can eat, even if she was hungry. September will be missed dearly by everyone that knew her.
September was preceded in death by her husband Tracy Snow, her father Eldon Lawrence Webb, her mother Janet Webb, & her nieces, Chandelle Webb, and Carol Jackson.
September is survived by her 2 daughters, Crystal Webb and Dawn VanMeter, 2 sons, Craig (Jessica Humphrey) VanMeter and Kyle (Brittany Davis) Snow, all of North Platte. Her 5 sisters, Denise (Tom) Lewis of Wichita Kansas, Michelle (Dave) Robinson of North Platte Nebraska, Dana (Bob) Jackson of Colorado, Donna (Jeff) Waffle of Colorado and Trina (Jim) Bazan of Colorado. Her 10 grandchildren, Ariana, Damian, Aliya, Matthew, Nathen, Jediah, Javyn, Triden, Kaelub, and Beckham, all of North Platte, & many nieces & nephews.
September’s memorial service will be held on Sunday November 22nd at 3 p.m. at the Senior Center in North Platte for anyone wishing to attend. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
